Vijay Nagarajan, CEO and Founder

Vijay has a passion for mobile technology. He brings over 12 years of experience in technology markets and has been instrumental in the delivery of numerous mobile software solutions to the market.

Prior to founding Vegona, Vijay held positions of increasing responsibility at Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Netscape and various startups. At Motorola, Vijay led the Java ME implementation team for a next-generation phone and made significant contributions towards making Java a viable mobile operating environment. At Sun Microsystems, he was a key contributor to CLDC-Hotspot Virtual Machine, CDC-Hotspot Virtual Machine and Java Application Server. Vijay led and worked on multiple engagements with Tier-1 mobile device manufacturers such as Toshiba, Samsung, Intel and operators including Vodafone, AT&T and Softbank Mobile. During the course of his work on mobile devices, Vijay has multiple patents issued and pending in virtual machine technology.

At Vegona Vijay is intimately involved in crafting innovative, industry-strength solutions for clients. He brings to the table a hard-to-match mix of zeal for mobile technology and wide experience in designing and developing high-volume server solutions

Vijay has a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has completed advanced systems courses at Stanford University.
